Unfortunately, the residents were given either little money to leave their homes and some even received nothing in return. Many of them currently live far away from the Dodger Stadium.

Many descendants of Chavez Ravine still live today. Some casually visit the site in remembrance of what was once their own land. Many of these families' income was greatly impacted by the amount of compensation they recieved, so their class-status remained low. Unfortunately, many of these people do not share the equal stance for the Dodger Stadium. While some originators of Chavez Ravine see this Stadium as a positive prospect for this city, others do not share the same stance, support.  As a result of this destruvtive, heart-breaking event many of the progenees refuse to accept or agree with this building of  Dodger Stadium. Moreover,many of the children who witnessed events such as this have become fans of the LA Dodgers, nontheless, not being able to forget an important piece of their own history. As it turns out, some Chavez Ravine descendants are figuratively, spiritually torn apart on whether or not to support the LA Dodgers or part-take the same ideals as their parents. One thing is certain, this piece of history will never be forgotten.
